6 Products That Seriously Upgraded My Car Camping Setup #Glamping

This post contains affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you purchase through them, at no extra cost to you! I only recommend products I genuinely love and use.

Okay, if you’ve been here for a while on Instagram or TikTok, you know I’ve had my fair share of roughing it in the back of my Jeep, on rocky ground, or curled up in a damp sleeping bag. But let me tell you, after years of trial and error, I’ve finally found a few key products that totally transformed my car camping setup from cute but chaotic to full-on glamping queen.

These are the little luxuries that make all the difference. I’m talking cozy nights, aesthetic lighting, real coffee in the morning, and actually getting good sleep outdoors. So if you’re ready to take your car camping game to the next level, here’s everything I’m currently obsessed with:

1. This Inflatable Couch That Doubles As An Air Mattress

Intex Pull-Out Sofa Inflatable Queen

Not to be dramatic, but this inflatable couch changed my life. It’s a couch and a bed, and it packs up perfectly in the back of my Jeep and only takes a few minutes to inflate with a foot pumo. Whether I’m lounging by the fire or binge-watching downloaded Netflix shows after a hike, this thing is so comfy. Plus, it packs down super easily when you’re on the move. (P.S. If you’re going to use it outside, put down a carpet, tarp or blanket as a barrier so no sharp rocks or sticks puncture the couch! It does come with a repair patch though, just in case!)

If you want a “living room” feel while camping, just trust me, this is the vibe.

2. The LuminAID Solar Twinkle Lights & Phone Charger

LuminAID Twinkle Light + Phone Charger

This one's a game-changer for two reasons:

  1. it’s super cute and makes your campsite feel like a Pinterest board, and

  2. it actually charges your phone.

The lights are solar-powered, super lightweight, and pack down into a little pouch. I string them around my tent or hang them in trees, and it instantly feels like I’m glamping in the woods. No outlets needed. Bonus points for sustainability, too.

3. My Beloved Selk’bag

Selk’bag Wearable Sleeping Bag

No more shuffling around the campsite like a burrito in a traditional sleeping bag. The Selk’bag is a wearable sleeping bag with arms, legs, and even booties, so I can cook dinner, sip tea, and sit by the fire without sacrificing warmth.

It’s like wearing a hug. A very warm, very cozy hug. 10/10 recommend.

4. My Trusty Honcho Poncho

Honcho Poncho

Speaking of keeping cozy, this is my all-time favourite layering piece. It’s insulated, water-resistant, and packs into its own pocket (which doubles as a pillow, hello!). I throw it on in the morning when it’s chilly, use it as a blanket during movie nights in the tent, and it just makes everything feel a little more luxe.

Also... let’s be real: it’s cute. And the color options? Chefs kiss.

5. The Aeropress (For Actually Good Campsite Coffee)

Aeropress Coffee Maker

I refuse to start a camping morning without a good cup of coffee. Instant coffee just doesn’t cut it anymore, so I bring my Aeropress everywhere. It’s small, lightweight, and makes espresso-style coffee that tastes way fancier than it should when you’re halfway up a mountain.

All you need is hot water, ground coffee, and 2 minutes. It’s that easy, and it makes mornings feel like a mini ritual.

6. The “Spontaneity Kit” Combo

What I really love about all of these products is that I keep most of them packed and ready to go in a big Tupperware bin in the back of my Jeep. That way, if the weather looks good and I wanna dip out of town after work, I can just grab groceries, toss in my Selk’bag and Honcho Poncho, and go.

It makes last-minute adventures way more doable, and way more comfortable.

Final Thoughts: Comfort Is Not Overrated

Some people love the ultra-minimal, survivalist camping vibe, but I’m just not in my “suffer for fun” era when I’m car camping, that’s what backpacking is for. I want to be cozy. I want twinkle lights and good coffee and soft couches and warm layers. And honestly? I feel like I’ve finally found my camping groove.

If you’re someone who wants to be outdoors but also feel like you’re staying in a cabin, I can’t recommend these products enough. They’ve turned my car into a mini glamping retreat, and I am so here for it.

Happy camping 💫
